It’s been a very interesting week so far - the formation of Professional Bloggers Association is going on with tremendous speed. This group of thought leaders in their special fields of blogging motivates me very very much. I’m happy and proud being a part of this initiative.

I’ve been part of other grouping processes before and sometimes it funny to look and experience the different roles people play. There are certainly different roles, personalities, archetypes in the process.

This morning I had an e-mail coming in my mailbox from John Maloney. He mailed me a VERY new paper on the topic. Very interesting, and VERY usefull in group forming processes - offline and online. He writes:

Archetypes and themes can give us useful clues to ourselves. One of the peculiarities of a
group culture is that as soon as we acclimatise to it, we become unconscious exponents of it.
It is extremely difficult to be conscious of our culture beyond the first few days of being a
newcomer. Archetype representations can be useful and powerful characterisations of our
culture to ourselves, and help us address blind spots or opportunities in our culture that we
might otherwise miss.

His paper is well written - easy and fast to read. Thank you John.
